Volume 34, Issue 2, Apr - Jun, 2026

Volume 34, Issue 2 of Rheumatology (Bulgaria) presents a clinically focused and thematically balanced collection of articles covering original research, narrative reviews, and rare case-based diagnostic challenges in contemporary rheumatology. The issue includes an original study on the endocrine and metabolic profile of women with rheumatoid arthritis, review articles addressing the interpretation of antinuclear antibodies, synovial fluid crystal analysis, oxidative stress biomarkers in fibromyalgia, and the relationship between capillaroscopic findings and autoantibody profiles in systemic sclerosis, as well as case reports discussing complex overlaps between psoriatic arthritis and inflammatory myopathy, rheumatoid arthritis and granulomatosis with polyangiitis, and polyarteritis nodosa and antiphospholipid vasculopathy. Overall, the issue emphasizes precise differential diagnosis, careful interpretation of laboratory and imaging biomarkers, and the need for continuous clinical reassessment in atypical, overlapping, or treatment-refractory rheumatological presentations.
